Writer on Chile

Roshni Raj is a graduating senior at NYU, majoring in Neural Science and Anthropology. Home is everywhere that life has given her meaning — New York, Bangalore, and Abu Dhabi. Raised by her mom and grandparents, she began to love various cultures from her Indian heritage to learning about different Latin American cultures in Spanish class. The inspiration for this project comes from when she learned about Chile culture through exchange student friends in that high school class, and a love for sharing food with friends.

Writer on Dominican Republic

Alicia is a senior at the College of Arts and Science and is majoring in Anthropology on the pre-med track. She is of  Dominican and Colombian ethnicity and has a very large interest in food studies. In her time at NYU, Alicia has been involved on campus as a Public Health Ambassador and Historian of the Bella Quisqueya E-board. 

Writer on Peru

Emilio Teran is a graduating senior at NYU, majoring in anthropology. Raised in Colorado, Emilio is the son of a Panamanian dad and a Peruvian/French mom. His interest in cultures started young while seeing and appreciating the differences he saw in the US, Latin America, and Europe. Emilio is also fond of food. Studying anthropology and raised by a Peruvian mom, Emilio has both experience with and an interest in Peruvian culture and cuisine.
